This award is constituted in memory of renowned industrialist and social worker Late Kedarnath Kanoria and his wife Late Bhagirathi Devi Kanoria, and is conferred every year upon a writer for excellent contribution to child-literature in Rajasthani language. A citation and an amount of Rs. 21,000/- is given under this award. The awardee is also provided arrangements for to and fro journey to the function venue and boarding and lodging at the place of function.
